3MPlast goes for what is worthwhile

3MPlast has apparently what amounts to a new campaign for its models. You can see the ads online (here for Sun Lounge, here for Pandora, here for Queen, here for Havana). I have a tendency to think the ads were done in house. They are, at best correct. Now the ads also run around a very specific packshot copy:

بتضاين، مريحه، و خرج (Sun Lounge) Long-lasting, comfortable and worthwhile

حلوه، مرتبه، و خرج (Pandora) Beautiful,  presentable and worthwhile

ناعمه، بتضاين، و خرج (Queen) Smooth, long-lasting, and worthwhile

مرتبه، مريحه، و خرج (Havana) Soft, comfortable and Presentable, and worthwhile

As you can see the adjectives are rather repetitive. Now what is interesting is another ad I found for - what I think is the Pandora model:

"It is all plastic, but worthwhile" - in this context there is a "but" which is actually a little odd. As if 3MPlast is anticipating that the consumers won't be convinced that plastic could be worthwhile - note that this does not figure in the campaign above. Interestingly, the other ad has the same typography and the same concept "worthwhile" which definitely indicates that it came from the same place for the same client (the photo seems to be a screenshot from the Pandora model ad).

On the whole some effort was injected in this. And whereas the factory seems to be in south Lebanon apparently one can buy online from their website (here). 3MPlast has tried to sell its products differently in the past (here) and if I were to pick I'd go for that other earlier campaign.

Panda Boutique - a cute but confusing campaign

Panda Boutique by Panda Plast has a cute new campaign, if a little too... confusing.

Apart from the fact they used the teaser/revealer which implies the same people need to see the original ad and then discover what it was all about, and right now both teaser and revealer ads are sitting at the same time on the Jounieh highway which is a little odd (but this is what happens when one books with different agencies which work at different speeds).

The major oddity in the campaign is the slogan of the revealer - "bnoss Jounieh" (right in the middle of Jounieh) which is the name of the yearly festival initiated by the Jounieh municipality (here). So I am wondering if Panda is involved in any way in the festival or not - although honestly, maybe they ought to have stuck to their original line "I saw a Panda in Jounieh" which headlined the teaser.

Considering Panda Boutique several branches, this is not some line they can stick to everywhere. But I guess they were trying to grab attention.

3M Plast - of elephants in the room and other items.

3M Plast is suddenly launching a campaign.

Perhaps on the strength of all things made in Lebanon because as a population we are relying more and more on things made locally to cut on import (as a nation that imports a huge percentage of its items!). Still, it is interesting how they portrayed their products.

For the chair, they put a full elephant on it with the line "addha w 2doud" (which roughly translates as "can withstand and is strong enough". For the chaise longue they relied on Sayyed Darwish's song "tol3it ya mahla nourha" (she it went up and spread its lights). Under both? "Pride of Lebanese manufacturing".

It is interesting that 3M Plast really did inject effort into the campaign as is obvious. And thankfully spared us the use of "models" or copped images from here and there, focusing on the products as such.
