Tinol - goes with two different concepts billed as one.

Tinol Paints is going on two different axes - one is totally summerish the other is source of color. In their own words for the first: "Embrace the vibrant hues of summer with Tinol Paints, the ultimate source of color! From beachy blues to fiery sunsets, bring the warmth of summer into your spaces. Tinol, the source of limitless color inspiration!" In my own words for the second - I love how the paint spills on that Dora building which eventually joins the original paint, incredible positioning. The pots spilling from the unipoles though are a more confusing. Both are dubbed "source of color". But conceptually I feel like these are two separate campaigns - one is certainly summer-geared, the other is more what the original concept was.

To go back to the billboards, well, one cannot accuse them of not translating that visually as the reference to sun and horizon is immediately recognizable in the visual - translated in three different colors (only two shown above). The campaign is everywhere mind you on the streets and it does attract the eye. Frankly one feels smart looking at it because one immediately says "oh I got it!".  As I said it's the other media use that is more confusing - the unipoles. Just to be clear, the ads seem visually connected, but it does feel two campaigns rolled into one.

Tinol, typos to serve a smart concept.

Well, it seems Tinol Paints changed their tune from last year's campaign (here). And it seems they have gone political. The new campaign which has several visuals really asks the questions about "where is (and insert a false promise we were given prior)?" - from "festive country" to "brilliant Lebanon" to "vibrant nights" to "attractive smile" or "colorful spirit" going through "shining Beirut", you name it is there. It is interesting for Tinol to have gone that route. And even more interesting there is a typo in every billboard, why? Well, because they insist "it is time to put things in place". The campaign is soooo blink and you'll miss it, which makes it even more clever in my dictionary.

Tinol paints - coloring by names (and numbers)

Tinol paints has actually got a campaign going. Truth be told I only saw two visuals, so I am not sure how far and wide this goes. But as I said earlier when you can spot a campaign with just 2-3 billboards when - in the heyday - you needed 600 billboards just to be "visible", then you know how far the mighty have fallen.
So - I saw the "purple" and the "orange" iterations of the campaign. Same idea and executions, the "color" in its specific shade with "you name it" underneath. I am speculating that the line was meant to mean "you name it we have it".
Technically speaking, the ads are not too creative or too out there, but the interesting bit is that you can spot the campaign from a mile with its ample use of white as a background. Actually, I wonder how they'd do the ad for the "white" paint though (usually the most used color!).
