Pizzanini - make that make sense

Another back to school, and another head scratcher. Well, "from the first bell ring to the last slice". How this integrates into school lunch boxes, is beyond me. How this can be transported to a school setting, is also not exactly logical. But here we are, let's-do-a-back-to-school-campaign-since-everyone-else. Now yes, a large pizza at 9 USD is a good offer, but seriously, the context is just completely wrong. If the target audience were exhausted mothers, that would have made sense, but students per se, and in the classroom no less, does not exactly add up. Maybe Pizzanini needs some math lessons, without pizza involved.

There you go, I am allergic to influencers. And whereas a lot of insults were hurled my way through the years, I think the day a company contacted me to be featured in an and because I was an "influencer" is somewhere in the top 5. But I digress, Pizzanini, has - a nice campaign - ruined obviously by influencers (even if this is central to the concept). OK, the idea is "my branch is stronger than yours" (a Lebanese gimmick whereby people say "my (X) is stronger than yours" - usually father is the first that comes to mind). All this on the background of influencers showing up in the branches in question, presumably for a meet and greet. All of them on October 18th.

Yes, I realize if you are in the hype scene this works, even if I feel this is truly a nice campaign, if only it was not ruined by the said influencers.

Nini? As in... Who is Nini?

Very subtle one in a world where everyone shouts this one whispers. 

It does not even say "oh guess who is it?" it merely leaves you to your subconscious to solve. Yes, you have seen this before? But where? It comes to you - and as Hemingway said about going bankrupt in his novel The Sun Also Rises - "Gradually, then suddenly," so yes.... it is like "it is on the tip of my tongue" (or my subconscious is about to solve it), then - boom - yes, I have seen it on the... What's  the name again?

Pizzanini of course.

Very understated, blink and you miss it, and instead of hammering you with an easy answer it asks "who is nini?". Now you know, now you solved it.

Smart.
