Blanchor - current news, April Fools, and Easter all in one go for Cocktail Lahoud!

Any questions? Because this is how you roll current news, April Fools, and Easter all in one perfect ad. First the background - and this I have explained prior - "maamoul" the traditional Easter cookie means "done with" or "done to" in Arabic, the traditional flavors include dates, walnuts or pistachios. So? How about an avocado maamoul from Cocktail Lahoud? Because - yes, you guessed it - April Fools! And a pre-Easter ad to boot and - wait for it - the headline goes "this year, what is "done to" is us is as if it was a lie" (darn it, in Arabic it is ever funnier with maamoul being a double-entendre). So here we are, several ads all rolled into one. And a perfect one at that from Blanchor for Cocktail Lahoud.

Blanchor - or how Christmas can still get creative

Blanchor has revealed its Christmas ads for its many clients. That they can still think of ideas that resonate is honestly beyond me. But sometimes doing less goes the longer distance. Pity I could not include the line from the last ad in the ad above "unwrap your new home". I know what you are going to say? This is not creative with a capital C. But then again, sometimes creative with a regular c gets the job done. Another set of triumphs that speak to and about each client differently.

Blanchor - breast cancer awareness for the photoshop savvy

You have met Blanchor previously on this blog here, here and here and now they're back for another round with this breast cancer awareness. What's with everyone and their mother using photoshop (except me and my mother!) the ad has a small hint of tech-savviness: Not everything can be erased (wink!). And yes, what do you know the Photoshop screen tools are to the right. So get "screened" (double-entendre) as it appears in the ad. A good one at a time when interesting ads are far and in between.

Blanchor discovers the many facets of love

You might remember Blanchor from before (here). And so here they are again, smashing Valentine's Day for their clients. Here's the interesting part - there's even more from where this came from. So far my favorite is "love is in the hair" but all of them work for their respective clients (and the ones I did not post)... Indeed, love has many facets and Blanchor is exploring them!

So why am  so excited about what Blanchor did?
Because it is incredibly tricky to insert your brand in the bunny ears.
Beauty lounge Lily?  Nail polish spill.
Kronfol restaurant? The lettuce on the taboule!
It is not easy to do simple. And Blanchor does it brilliantly.

Kronfol - Mother's Day

Well, here's a cute one! Kronfol sells pizza. Kronfol wants you to stay home amid the lockdown because mother "badda salemtak" (a Lebanese expression that means "wants your safety" (a unusual answer to "want anything?"). See? Neat and simple and works extremely well.
