Oh so this slipped through the cracks. BOB Finance placed an ad for Ramadan, well I shall spare you the technicalities but apparently you win gold by using their app. Apart from the - weirdly sensational - "Akram min min" on LBC, offers have been few and in between so noticing there is one is interesting this Ramadan. Actually BOB Finance went strict basic in both design and slogan - not that I have anything against considering one has very little time to see the ad on the highway billboards anyhow. Interestingly, transfer services such as BOB Finance have come to replace banks in Lebanon which has become almost strictly a cash economy.

MoneyGram makes it own stamp on the word "transfer"
Hmmm, not sure what to make of this.
MoneyGram has an ad for their money transfer services. On the one hand it is giving me deja-vu, on the other I think they tried. Let me explain, they focused on the word "hawwel" which in Arabic means 1) to drop by 2) to transfer 3) to change from one state to the other. Considering the better meaning was already used by BOB finance (here) MoneyGram opted for "to drop by" with "drop by us".
Interestingly the older version of the ad - still being on the market goes - "drop by us to have your pocket full" (which in Arabic rhymes but honestly is sort of childish), and which was then (in the new version) shortened to become "drop by us". You can date the ads from the way the color red has faded.
Well between BOB Finance and MoneyGram I'd definitely go for the BOB. Still these companies have really been life-savers for Lebanese as I previously said about OMT.

Elections 2022: Qadreen vs BOB Finance (compare and contrast)
And so.... What would you say when a political list for the elections actually gives you a serious deja vu from a nice campaign for BOB Finance - who works in money transfer.
The original is here. People, just compare and contrast the two. Just to legally cover myself, I am not saying it is, I am not saying it is not.
Seriously though!
PS: Mouwatinoun and Mouwatinat fi Dawla (MMFD), who is behind Qadreen answered me saying this was the line for their program since 2019 (please see the link here) - however the link in question does not provide such a title out of fairness. Interestingly, it works much better for BOB Finance, and since someone else used it - in this case the money transfer institution - why keep using it MMFD? Come up with something new!
