Nahnoo, goes to/against the beach

If Nahnoo had a confusing first outing (here) and second outing here (here), this one, is at least clearer, or so I think. OK, so that the coastal facade of Lebanon has been taken over by private conglomerates and maritime complexes for years upon years, most of the illegal, Nahnoo is proposing to actually report such instances (not sure how or what can be acted upon but that is another - confusing - story). Still at least the line is nice - and comes directly from Lebanese culture. It roughly translates into "the beach is for everyone, not for some people but not others" as I said in Arabic it flows better. Interestingly, whereas Nahnoo decreases the level of ambiguity this time around, it did not disparage it completely. Baby steps... In the sand.

Municipalities, again, and again...

Remember Nahnoo? (here). Well, guess who is back? This ad is - actually more explicit than the previous one (even if the creative angle leaves me perplexed). OK this one goes "municipalities are not made-to-measure they should fit the whole country" (I guess they are trying to mean that municipalities are not made to suit specific political entities but rather the whole population). Now, at least this time around they included a very clear "participate in the municipal elections, become candidates and vote". As I said, this ad is a bit more "obvious" even if creatively I am still a tad lost.

Nahnoo - goes for municipalities (again)

Well Nahnoo is going for the municipalities again (first recorded round on the blog is here). And so here we are again this time they go for "powers proportionate to the burden". All right, it might just be me, but I did not get this one. Does it mean that municipalities are doing too much without having the appropriate powers by law, or that they should have more powers to do more, or - in reverse - they have too much power and doing little with them? Again, it could be me, but I am not sure what they are invoking in the ad. Municipalities for sure, but the rest seems vague to me.
