Turkish Airlines is announcing that its flights to Lebanon, Syrian and Jordan are back. Could have slipped easily under the radar. But no! They really nailed their graphics to a T. That famous motif on coffee cups from Lebanon? The beautiful Damascene tiles? The specific cross-stitching from Jordan? Yes and yes and yes. Truly one needs to know societies well in order not to put everyone under the same umbrella or just stereotype "something oriental" and get on with it. The animation can be seen here.
