Operation Gift, happened on the night of January 28 1968 when Israeli commandos hit the Beirut Airport damaging thus 13 planes on the tarmac. The incident was supposed to be a retaliation of Lebanon becoming a de facto confrontation nation by harboring Palestinian Fidais. The only positive spot is the 262 United Nations resolution which condemned Israel on its atrocity.
