"From the days of independence" says this ad from Pepsi Lebanon which was born same year as our independence (Pepsi not the ad) - and it references the two places synonymous with the event: Bchamoun and Rachaya. The lines are as follows "in Bchamoun there were two Pepsi freezers" and "in Rachaya Pepsi would freeze without a fridge". A cool reference to the intersection of the brand and the national event.
I am kind of behind the date reviewing this (independence was Nov. 22) but still catching up after the Amsterdam trip as part of the Epica Awards jury.
I like the tongue in cheek in the ads, and the use of the retro can (even if truth be told back then glass bottles were used - which BBDO did reissue in 2003 as part of the 50th anniversary of Pepsi). Still, thumbs up - wait, now "I feel like a Pepsi" (to quote another retro Pepsi ad!) but it has to be diet or max - being diabetic, not even the independence is worth getting sick for!
