With many words of our language
derived from French, our old colonizing nation, it was fitting to mix and match
a French calendar and see how enduring the concept it offers still is – we,
consciously or unconsciously, still model our lives on old patterns of thinking
inherited from the French way of life. Bkerke, the Maronite headquarter, still
