That LAU is one of the prominent universities of Lebanon is a known fact, today there has been a "scandal" surrounding its commencement execises. In defence of LAU I can tell you that the daughter of a major politician in Lebanon did not pass her graduating project because it was below standards.
I am not saying that the email distributed makes a lot of sense as to awarding two extra tickets to children with high ranking parent(s), I am just saying that when push comes to shove, LAU did not just let someone who was not up to it graduate and carry its name,
