Maggi and Ramadan, a real hand in hand companions. "Ramadan definately with Maggi" or alternatively "Ramadan for sure with Maggi". Because yes, soups are a major component of the Ramadan table, in addition to chicken broth which can be added to many dishes. All this makes Maggi a definite companion for the Ramadan table. Pity it makes me miss their old line "anti wa Maggi wal akl alaz" (you and Maggi, and the food gets more delicious). No idea why they discontinued it.

Maggi defines its territory
All right, I have no idea why the aggressive stance, but seems Maggi needed to define its territory. "No everyone who does soup is a soup like Maggi". Well, the ad suggests that someone is trying to steal market share from Maggi because they definitely seem upset. I am trying to remember what other competing brand is doing soup but failing. So here goes, an attack with no enemy in sight.

Maggi by Nestle is now "made in Lebanon"
So it seems Nestle which owns sub-brand Maggi (the chicken broth and soups - even if the ad shows no broth and only the soup variety) is now made in Lebanon. "Same quality and grade now it became Lebanese". A small online search led me to find these prices (at Carrefour), now logically locally produced items should be cheaper than imported ones (interestingly, Patrick Chemali found that local brand Plein Soleil was actually more expensive than the imported Lurpak - see here). Which basically means, whereas there is hope Maggi will drop in price now that it is manufactured in Lebanon, there is no guarantee to that.
