Of Kalashnikovs and religious iconography in Lebanon's war

Photo credit missing owing to having found these photos floating on the net
Don't anyone give me "other people's war on our soil" (as championed by the late Ghassan Tueni). No, it was OUR war, WE fought it, WE killed, WE rampaged, WE did all the atrocities. No one else. It was US. And in the name of what? We claimed it was to protected the father, who art in heaven, the most gracious, the most merciful. But in the end, we are still in denial. Everyone is exonerated from evil, especially the militiamen praying for each side to win, but as Bob Dylan said “if God’s on our side, he’ll stop the next war".
