In a 1962 travelogue to Lebanon , these two logos appeared - Total and Esso in Arabic. The tendency to Arabize logos which in some GCC countries is mendatory, was apparently present in Lebanon. It is to note that the Total logo is the one that was present between 1955 and 1963 whereas Esso changed in very subtle ways but essentially kept the same color palette and variants of the identical typography.since 1934. The Arabic adaptations, and considering Arabic is a language where the letters are bound to one another, tries to approximate the Latin counterpart of the logo while remaining readable. Not at east task.
