Sometimes it baffles me how easy it is to do a great ad. Look at that KFC gem! "an iftar the cannon would strike for" - for your info, in olden days, a cannon would truly strike to indicate the end of the day's fast so that people would start their iftar and could hear it all over the city, today it is replaced by the sound of a cannon on radio. Did KFC imply Ramadan? Yes. Did it do it directly? No. Did it sell its offer? Yes. Did it do it boringly? No. Truly it s such ads that make me believe again when other creatively bankrupt characters are recycling their archive and selling it to new clients!
