I am trying to decode this ad, but am failing repeatedly. Could be my mistake. But something seems to be lost in translation. I think the emphasis on the moon marks a wink to some Ramadan offers (could stand to be corrected). I have seen the ad several times on the street - my reflex was "what moon?". Sure, shine like the moon and the small crescent part of the Lexus logo - I got that part. What baffled me was - the crescent is so small it is barely shining at all, so why bother go into this creative wizardry to shoot one self in the foot with a dodgy comparison. I am not sure got the ad despite my efforts at doing so.
