La nuit toutes les femmes sont belles, was the tagline of “La nuit”
perfume. This remix of old pin ups, which
used to be sold as packs in Beirut as mock postcards prove it. Except of
course, this was not la nuit, but rather pure daylight, or as a photographer
told me, “from all of Beirut, if I were to keep anything, it would be the
light”.
