Mea Culpa!
Rob Zbeeb was not on my radar until
Old Beirut Lebanon showcased some of his gems. What is beautiful about these illustrations of old cinemas which no longer exist is that - at the time - the only way to display huge movie posters was simply to illustrate them! So this is the illustration of an illustration playing tricks on memory. As someone enamored with representations of the past, and considering that many people do not understand that memory plays tricks on us, it is a pleasure for me to share these works.
