I will be the first to admit there is little that is "special" about this ad, but this is what makes it work in unexpected ways. There is a bazar (we understand that immediately). there are 40 years celebrations (again, very prominent), the ad is placed right next to the gallery (so there is no logo presence), there is the cute gimmick with the code bar (a bit feminine but then who decides to buy furniture and who dictates the taste?) - to be honest I would have dropped the "price squeezing" line since it is redundant and inferior to the visual. So there, it does not take much to do a good ad, why is everyone trying and failing then?
