Diwan Beirut - newly rebranded mind you - has gone out on a limb to stress their local flavors as opposed to the foreign dishes present in the market (and it made sure it rhymed "puree/taboulee" "moules/foul" (soybeans) "steak tartare/hommos min akkar"). In the end frame it drives the punchline "we are independent".....
