Lebanon is worth it, the second installment

I have previously blogged about the first installment of the "Lebanon is worth it" campaign. This is the second one which features alongside Fouad Makhzoumi (industrialist, politician and philanthropist) two very heavy-hitters from the academic world - Dr. Fadlo Khoury and Dr. Joseph Jabbra - respectively heads of the American University of Beirut and the Lebanese American University. The talk centers around human resources, education and technology. And there are many interesting items being discussed - with two presidents on board, the thought of some of this being implemented makes me quite excited about what might happen. Check the beautiful film here.
I myself count AUB as my alma mater (class of '96! Boy that dates me) so apart from the content of the film just seeing footage of the university on a rainy day and remembering how it was also gives me personal pleasure in terms of watching. As the AUB motto goes "so that they may have life, and have it more abundantly" - so that we may have a country, and have it more abundantly.
For all its faults, for all our faults, Lebanon is worth it.
