Lebanon's history via pop culture 76

A hotel which, when opened, marked an occupancy rate of 110%, it was big and flashy and was the center of attention of all of Beirut. And then the war started and it harbored a dark history which so far has not been resolved. Today it stands there, a wounded giant overlooking an area which has been totally reconstructed, a testimony that the past is still there – undethroned.
